It is a long established fact that a reader will be distracted by the readable content of a page when looking at its layout. The point of using Lorem Ipsum is that it has a more-or-less normal distribution of letters, as opposed to using 'Content here, content here', making it look like readable
Druk International Shito-Ryu Karate Do Association, Inc (DISKA) was formerly known as Shito-Ryu Karate Association of Bhutan (SKAB) and Bhutan Karate Federation (BKF). DISKA has its roots in Nepal, while its founding leaders were living in exile as refugees. It is a hard earned martial arts of thousands of Bhutanese karatekas who are now residing in various countries such as United States, Australia, Canada, Norway, Denmark, United Kingdom, Netherlands, Belgium, Germany, New Zealand, Nepal, and India. Despite critical circumstances as refugee, Sensei Raney Rai, who was inspired by prominent Bhutanese karatekas, Senpai Shyam Pradhan, Senpai Talman Thapa, Senpai Dhan Rai, and Senpai Chatra Rai, began his karate journey in 1990. In the fall of 1992, Sensei Rai started the first dojo at Beldangi-1 refugee camp and later spread to six other remaining Bhutanese refugee camps in Nepal. The dojos were launched primarily with the prospective objectives of youth engagement, instilling discipline and supplementing the co-curricular lacking in the camp at the initial phase of the camp establishment.
Bhutanese karatekas participated in various regional, national, South Asian & international tournaments representing the Bhutanese refugees in Nepal after its official recognition with Nepal National Karate Federation.
DISKA is a non-profit community based Karate organization committed toward its immediate community with special focus on engaging youth and adult for their positive development. DISKA, as a member of USA Karate (USA NKF), was started in 2016 with its headquarter at Stone Mountain, Georgia. As also a member organization of International Mabuni-Ha Shito-Ryu Karate Association (IMSKA-USA), DISKA receives technical support in Kumite and Kata.

Since Karate is highly a disciplined form of art, it is through sustained self-discipline can we become who we become.
#2 Commitment: We commit to live by the core values of karate practicing true professionalism and sportsmanship in our words and actions. We understand that commitment is one of the key secrets of success without which any undertakings can never move to the desired goals. Therefore, our firm determination should be to live by values and achieve our cherished goals.
#3 Respect: We believe that respect is earned. One of the core values of our organization is to respect seniors and juniors and value every individual irrespective of their status or positions. We respect & comply with the decisions of the highest body of the organization and work what is within our jurisdiction.
#4 Integrity: Integrity is the soul of our value system. Integrity drives all other values. We assume that the degree of veracity we display in our daily personal & professional lives will determine who we are. We value ourselves to value others. We anticipate that every member of DISKA is honest in their commitment to uphold the values of our organization.
#5 Collectiveness: A person may be good at one thing but not at everything. Therefore, without collective and collaborative endeavor, it is impossible to achieve the whole. We firmly believe in collective decision and individual implementation. As an individual we cannot override the decision of the mass.
#6 Progressiveness: We do not to hang on status quo and maintain stereotype of thinking. We believe in transformation and every day growth. Our value system teaches us that we change with time & situations.
#7 Collaboration: Since DISKA is a community based non-profit karate organization, our primary stakeholders should be the community we live in. DISKA believes that without consistent cooperation and collaboration, the dream of modern community karate as envisioned may not come true. We should be the first to become the advocates of modern community karate.
#8 Pragmatism: No decisions or actions shall come under the influence of self-centeredness or egoism. It shall neither be guided by misconception or rumors but by virtue of fact. DISKA believes that every associate is emotionally balanced & morally strong in order to make & follow the appropriate decisions. DISKA highly discourages being judgmental.
